Context :
The mission of our Business Division (BD), Technology and Technical Support (T&TS), is to propose to our clients sustainable solutions which are also efficient in terms of technologies / process, catalysts / adsorbents and services for the whole Axens’ domains (Oil & Biomass Hydroprocessing & conversion, Petrochemicals production & purification, Gas and Water Treatment, CO2 capture).
At the heart of T&TS activity, technical assistance to units in operation is of primary importance. Thanks to a close follow-up indeed, T&TS teams are able to maximize customers’ profits and gain their trust which is the first step towards selling more products and services. Exploitation of operating data is also key to continuous improvement through in-house benchmarking and optimization of our predictive models.
Tasks and activities:
Historically, excel spreadsheets have been used for the purpose of unit follow-up. However a new digital solution, Connect’In, has been launched by Axens that will allow saving time for the collection, the treatment and the exploitation of the data. Axens is now accelerating on the deployment of this new solution.
The deployment of Connect’In can be broken down in different steps:
- Collection/transformation of the raw data and preparation of the database.
- Configuration of the master excel file into a digital model compatible with our digital interface.
- Import into the digital interface, management of the calculation routines and Python scripts.
- Creation of the user interface using Grafana.
- Customization of each unit using machine learning model and updating results visualization.
- Implementation and configuration of in-house developed advanced tools.
The trainee will be involved in all the above deployment steps and work closely with the technology engineers in charge of units follow-up.
Profile :
Currently in your 3rd year of of university Bachelor of Technology in you are looking for a 4-month minimum internship.
