MAIN MISSIONS :
Axens South East Asia (Axens SEA) is the regional hub located in Kuala Lumpur for South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand market. Axens SEA provides sale and technical support for regional clients using Technology and Products in the field of Refining, Petrochemical, Biofuels , Renewables and natural gas. It also offers modularization options, providing fully integrated solutions with associated guaranteed process-equipment packages. Our solutions are around Process Design Packages; Units Revamping; Equipment; Market-leading Catalysts and Adsorbents; Modular Units; Industrial and operations support, including: commissioning, start-up, technical assistance, follow-up, training and catalyst life-cycle management.
We are looking for a V.I.E. Process Engineer (he/she) for a 15 to 18 months duration in the Projects Department located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The V.I.E. is an international program for young professionals between the age of 18 and 28, who are European Union nationals. In addition, the candidate cannot come from the country hosting the mission.
Assigned to projects involving different technologies (refining, petrochemicals, biofuels and renewables) within the Projects Department, you will be involved in executing projects for a wide portfolio of technologies and processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Your main activities will be to :
• Work with and assist Project Manager/ Senior Project Engineer in coordinating project activities
• Overall technical responsibility of the Project. Responsible for preparation of documents and settlement of technical matters.
• Ensure the technical coordination between disciplines and sub-contractors. Sub-contractor evaluations, selection and follow-up. Review, control and comments Sub supplier documents.
• Organise, monitor, coordinate and control all activities within the Project to ensure work performance according to QHSE and other requirements & procedures. This shall include planning control, progress follow-up and reporting activity.
• Instruct and control the application of codes, standards, specifications, laws and regulations within the Project.
• Ensure interface with Client and third parties, and organise all interfacing activities within the Project.
• Detailed engineering studies follow-up.
• Manage subcontracts in relation to the work. Prepare and perform the expediting visit to the sub-suppliers.
• Monitor all information relevant to contractual aspects of work including changes and variations.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• You are a young graduate with Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering background
• You have a 6 months to 2 years’ experience in project or process design
• You would like to have an experience and knowledge for technical and project activities from the conception up to fabrication, assembly and delivery of skid mounted unit for Oil & Gas treatment
ASSOCIATED SKILLS :
• Skills to work in stringent environment requiring organisation, rigours and reactivity.
• Application of technical knowledge within the field of structure, mechanical and piping.
• Familiar with applicable codes, standards, specifications and regulations within O&G industry.
• Experience working in project team.
